How to Play BandGuesser

Objective

Guess the band name from a synonym! Each day features a new band to discover.

How It Works

  1. Start with a synonym: You'll see a word or phrase that's a synonym of the band's name.
  2. Make your guess: Type in what you think the band name is and click "Guess".
  3. Get clues if needed: If you're stuck or guess wrong, click "Skip" to reveal progressive clues:
    • Clue 1: Band's nationality
    • Clue 2: Year the band was formed
    • Clue 3: One of their top albums
    • Clue 4: Lead singer's name
    • Clue 5: One of their top songs
  4. Win or lose: You have up to 6 attempts (initial guess + 5 clues). Guess correctly at any stage to win!

Scoring

Your performance is tracked based on how many attempts it takes:

  • First Try: Guessed without any clues
  • After 1 Clue: Guessed after seeing the nationality
  • After 2 Clues: Guessed after seeing the year
  • After 3 Clues: Guessed after seeing the top album
  • After 4 Clues: Guessed after seeing the singer
  • After 5 Clues: Guessed after seeing the top song

Daily Play

You can only play once per day. Come back tomorrow for a new band to guess!

Tips

  • Think about common band names and how they might be described differently
